Chippenham Lions will be holding their ninth Cherished Vehicle and Family Fun Day on Sunday 7 June, 2020 from 11am at the fields at Meadow Farm Nurseries, Langley Burrell, Chippenham, SN15 4L
We are now open for booking Vehicles and Stalls into the show and you can find forms by following the Bookings menu tab above.
There is some time to go before the event and this website will develop over the months as we get more attractions in, nonetheless, many items are dropping into place nicely, so please have a look around and mark the event on your must-do list.
This will be the ninth year we have held this event and the second year we have held the show at this venue and it proved to be a very successful last year. The site is in the Chippenham countryside with the Avon close by and is a couple of miles north of Chippenham and about three miles south of the M4, junction 17. It has good access through wide lanes with plenty of free and easy parking – so why not make it a day out …
This event just grows in size and popularity every year and has become an established event for individual owners, car clubs and petrol heads as well as providing a large variety of attractions for all the family to enjoy. In 2020 and we hope to have in excess of 250 Cherished Vehicles attending as well as a Performance Arena, Fairground, Local Foods, Craft, Charity and Trade Stands – Something for all the Family.
As well as making Vehicle and Stall bookings, you can use this sparkly new website to:
- learn about all the entertainment we’ve laid on for you
- find out about Chippenham Lions, our charities and our sponsors
- remember last year through word and pictures
- and so much, much more …
The entrance will be £6 for adults (children go free) and all money raised will go to Lions Charities – local, national and international.
As you can see, our main charities for this year will be Dorothy House and the Rise Trust, though we will also be improving our reserve for our other work – local, national and international. To find out more about this work, visit the About Us menu tab.
We are grateful to all our sponsors, but particularly to Derek and Alison Upton of Meadow Farm Nurseries for the use of their fields and for the work that they personally put into the event. We are also grateful to Barratt Homes for their generous sponsorship. To find out more about our sponsors, please visit the dedicated page from the About Us menu tab.
Remember, we are a ‘Cherished Vehicle’ show and there is no speciality or restriction on vehicle type so bring along your Citröen Pembleton Kit Car or your 1962 Austin-Healy or your 1937 Fordson Model 61 tipper truck — variety is what it’s all about and we love it …
